The traditions of Theta Sigma Tau
Being a fraternity with a very long history, the House had many traditions. Some traditions, such as Open Bar Party, Fall Formal, and Shipwreck Party; fall by the way for one reason or another. Other traditions, like Spring Formal, continued as if they had always been there, although the name and the form may change over time. And newer traditions, such as Pledge Names and Halloween Party spring up from time to time. This page will be dedicated to these traditions, so that the old ones that are no longer indulged in are not forgotten and the newer ones might be explained to those that never experienced them.
We ask that members send us an email telling about one (or more) of the traditions they remember fondly. We will post what they send us for others to enjoy or remember. If a member has a tradition they would like to share, they should send a description to plenz@ThetaSigmaTau.org. If a member would like to hear more about a specific tradition, contact us and we'll see if we can track that one down.
We shall begin with a partial list of traditions. As more traditions are submitted, they will be added to the list. As descriptions of the traditions become available, their name on the list will be hotlinked and will take you there. We're certain to have overlooked a few since the House spanned over 100 years of membership and tradition. So, please, send us an email and tell us what we missed (and tell us something about it, too! plenz@ThetaSigmaTau.org)
