- From the Winter 2008 Ripon College Magazine Obituaries section:
- George E. Hansche '35 of Albuquerque, NM, died May 20. He was born in Racine, WI. At Ripon he studied physics, chemistry, and mathematics and was a member of Theta Sigma Tau. He earned his doctorate in physics at Ohio State University. After a year teaching at Rose Poly in Terre Haute, IN, he returned to Albuquerque to work for Sandia National Laboratories for the rest of his career. He enjoyed traveling and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Helen, and two sons.
