A statement by Brian Muehl (79)

After I graduated and moved into an apartment to start my new job in '79, there was an elderly man that had the unit below. We chatted when we both were getting our mail, etc. He welcomed me to the community, mentioned local restaurants, etc. I got married a short time after that and my wife and I took Wayne out to dinner and we mentioned Ripon College. He smiled and said, "Yes I know that you two attended Ripon." He said, "I read the alumni news, too!" Wayne laughed and said "I attended Ripon College, class of 1938." We talked about Ripon and I asked if he was part of a Frat. Wayne said "Yes, but no one probably ever heard of us since it was a local." He said the frat was called Theta Sigma Tau.

What are the odds of this? Apparently quite high.

Wayne Bolton was a history major, he specifically enjoyed US history. He passed away on July 4 in the early 1980's. My wife and I wished we had spent more time with a fellow Ripon Grad, a brother of tau, and a nice person.
