Founders Theta Sigma Tau Barony Lost

The Founders of the New Tau

Herein lie the names of the courageous sons of freedom who in 1976 threw off the onerous yoke of Sigma Nu and re-established an independent Greek fraternity based upon friendship, mutual respect and fine celebrations.

Keith Jaeger & Hugh "Doc" Bogumil (the fine threads through whom all Tau's trace their descent from Sigma Nu), Douglas Kings, William "Billy" Waterpool, Charles "Chuck" Wattles, Tom Sikkema, Derf Otting, and Brian "The Mule" Muehl.

Ripon College then brought forth pledges to prosper the new-old house and their names are: Paul "Bernie" Bernheimer, the bravest and first pledge, followed by Kevin West, Kurt Hansen and Terrance "Terry" "Hubey" "Baby Huey" Hubert. Another year hence in 1978 Scott Hall freshman came forth to pledge more members to prosper and grow Tau, Bruce "Dad" Davis, Karl "Puppy" Kirchman, Robert "Bob" O'Conner, Patrick "Pat my Testes" Tester and Edward "Ed" Kirchner.

From these first generations all else had evolved, others discovered the unique variety of gifts at Theta Sigma Tau and pledged. Some came as upper classmen; John Sjovall, Kevin "Kermit" Hall and some as freshman, Joseph "Joey" Ketcham, Robert "Bob" "Really Red" Booth, Samuel "Spam" Shogren and the first legacy David "Dave" "Little Sho" Shogren, John Horgan, and others. Not all stayed, some stayed ere long but all made Theta Sigma Tau unique. Everyone guarded the secret of the Wapa and of the SAS. Whoever reveals the secrets will suffer the curse of 'Poon.

Written and recorded as revealed by the eldest pledge and first generations. All this came to pass and more before Theta Sigma Tau led the way to the new understanding in equalizing gender acceptance in 1980.
