Robert's wife, Beverly Johnson Steffes, also a Ripon graduate (1954) passed away 19-Sep-2010. Our sympathies go out to Robert and their daughter, Karen Steffes Driscoll (Ripon, 1979).

Robert was awarded a Distinguished Alumni Citation by Ripon College at Alumni Weekend this year. Robert lives in Menomonee Falls with his wife, Beverly Johnson Steffes (54). Robert is a first vice-president, senior stockbroker, sales manager, and certified financial planner with UBS Paine Webber of Milwaukee. Robert's daughter, Karen Steffes Driscoll is a 1979 alumna of Ripon College.

Robert W. Steffes '52 of Menomonee Falls, WI, is a first vice-president, senior stockbroker, sales manager, and certified financial planner with UBS Paine Webber of Milwaukee. He joined Paine Webber shortly after graduating from Ripon and launched a nearly 50-year career as a stockbroker.
While building his career, he has served in numerous capacities at the College, including a stint as an alumni trustee from 1979-82. He was president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors in 1975-77 and served 13 years on that body. He has also served Ripon as a class agent and phonathon organizer and volunteer. He has shared his resources with the College as a contributor for more than 45 years and helped establish the Milton Westhagen Endowed Scholarship in Economics.
Steffes is a past president of the Milwaukee Bond Club and is a past member of the Metro-Milwaukee Association of Commerce and a member of the Milwaukee Athletic Club. For Steffes, Ripon is a family affair - his wife, Beverly Johnson Steffes, whom he met at Ripon, is a 1954 alumna and his daughter, Karen Steffes Driscoll, is a 1979 alumna. His son, Jeffrey, works with his dad at Paine Webber.

Robert Steffes '52 of Brookfield, WI, died March 27, 2013. At Ripon he studied economics. He was retired first vice-president of UBS Financial Services, Inc. He served as a Ripon College Trustee from 1979 to 1982 and was a member of the Alumni Board of Directors from 1966 to 1977, serving as president of the Board from 1975 to 1977. He had a passion for travel and visited and toured many countries around the world with his wife, Beverly. He enjoyed golf and always looked forward to his annual golf trip to Hilton Head with his son, Jeff. Survivors include one son, Jeff, and one daughter, Karen Stefes Driscoll '79. His wife, Beverly Johnson Steffes '54 died in 2010.
